Vince came to our other location in the winter of 2005 after years of living as a stray in the Junction area of Toronto.  Paula (the clinic's manager) had been feeding him for months when one day it became clear that Vince had had enough of living on the streets and he needed to settle into a retirement home.  It turned out that this big fellow had contracted FIV+ and that, along with the numerous cat-bite abscesses on his head, had left him feeling rather tired and ill.  Once at Queen West Animal Hospital, the search began for that perfect home; a home that would shower him with the TLC and love he so long-deserved, and one that would be understanding of his illness and be able to follow-up on his medical needs.  With the help of a photographer who volunteered her time, we posted an amazing photo (above) and bio for Vince on the Toronto Cat Rescue website (www.torontocatrescue.ca) and within days we had an incredible couple named Cristine and Dave who came to meet Vince.  It was love at first sight and he was adopted on the spot. Vince's transition into family life has been an effortless process - he adores his family and is enjoying life indoors.  Who knew that this big lug enjoyed sitting on someone's lap while watching television?  Thank you Cristine and Dave for giving Vince a second chance at an amazing and love-filled life!
